The Mourning Dove

I raised myself on conspiracy theories, and to this day, I can't shake them out of my head

Conspiracy theories and the population's attitude towards them have shifted I believe since the release of the Epstein files. Suddenly, hundreds of thousands of people across the world, mostly the USA, screamed "I told you so!" to the flocks of 'sheeple.'

They were in effect vindicated - the elite is more-or-less made up of occultist pedophiles who utilize their ungodly wealth and power to prey on women and children.

The only difference between the Hollywood actor and the street thug is the power to get away with it, or not. The crimes of the destitute and the elite overlap significantly.

I suppose that in light of all of this, I've been wondering about everything else. Every other conspiracy and cover-up, the things they don't want us to know, and where they, and I, fit into the bigger picture of navigating this upside-down world.

For whatever reason I've always been inclined to alternative history and conspiracies, some of that can be attributed to my father and his extensive book collections on the paranormal, and one particular book called Strange Mysteries.

Being raised with a fascination of ghosts I think teaches you to be open-minded, and not only that, you feel a little smug about it. You're sure of something the rest of the population just isn't clued in on, yet. I had ghostly experiences, I even have eye-witness UFO stories, which to this day I can't explain.

Let's quickly review, I believed in ghosts, UFOs, and had a firm understanding of other paranormal phenomenon, for pre-teen, I was the budding parapsychologist. The internet, as it does, introduces me to a rabbit-hole of ideas, these being the idea that Christmas is all a Satanic government plot to trick good believing Christians into worshiping pagan idols, at this point, I would've considered myself Christian. Well, fear not, a channel by the name of The Vigilant Christian is here to expose the devilish bastards!

I have such vivid memories of playing video games and devouring The Vigilant Christian's ideas, from Christmas, to Star Wars (Yoda = yoga = paganism), to the secrets in the Vatican, I felt like I knew something that others just didn't.

This was a powerful feeling. Around this time, my favorite TV show was "Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files", if anyone remembers that.

Some years later and I'm a teenager, about 15, and here comes a man named Jimmy, better known as Bright Insight. Goddamn. Bright Insight. He became most popular for his theory that the Richat Structure in Mauritania, also known as the Eye of the Sahara, was the original site of the lost city of Atlantis. I'm not sure if this was the first video of his that I saw, but he's practically mainstream for this.

Jimmy was a veteran who served in Iraq and came back disillusioned with the typical USA narrative on history, he stood by the great statues of lamasu and had his world rocked and turned on its head, he knew from these moments, that ancient civilizations knew far more than we were ever taught to believe they did, and even, surpassed our civilizations.

Jimmy explored the wisdom of the Tao Te Ching (or, Daodejing), the intricate stonework of Macchu Pichu, the Pyramids, Gobekli Tepe, the common motifs of distant cultures which led him to believe in the idea the ancient world was far more connected than we knew. It blew my goddamn mind open, especially because I had little-to-no understanding of ancient civilization, anyway. I think there's a point to be made there, I was most enthralled because of how little I knew, I was entirely buying Bright Insight's view of the world, and did nothing to fact-check it.

To quickly recap, I was now brimming with belief in the paranormal and ancient alternative history, what on earth could be next..?

YOUR PINEAL GLAND IS FILLED WITH RODS AND CONES, MAKING IT YOUR THIRD EYE, WHICH THE FLOURIDE IN YOUR TOOTHPASTE IS CALCIFYING - WAKE UP!

Well, I was certainly awoken.

Universe Inside You, I'd like to dedicate a paragraph to the trip it was to binge everything on this channel. Universe Inside You has a wealth of content, 20-40 minute long documentary style videos exploring topics very few other channels do, or, did - this was roughly ten years ago. The video topics draw you in with promising to uncover the secrets of the Annunaki, astral projection, the third eye and everything adjacent. They were narrated by a woman who sounded robotic, but confident in her claims, she spoke assuredly to make you believe, and the slideshows of fantastical imagery only illustrated her points further. The videos truly felt like sober trips, deep dives into radical and unknown territory that will leave you either calling bullshit, or, deeply moved.

I was moved.

There is a lot more in between now and then, but I'll save that story for another post, as it has more to do with religion than anything else.

My ultimate point after recalling this strange journey is that I felt I primed myself to be in-tune to the frequencies of these conspiracies since I was a child, when I first heard of Pizzagate, well, I was convinced. Illuminati? Yep, obviously, it's all hidden in plain sight, if you have eyes and ears to see and hear it like ME.

In late 2026, I cannot shake off the conditioning the question everything, to almost want to believe that everything is connected, and a few years ago I think I was more willing to, but life is truly stranger than fiction, but at the end of it all, it's just perverts with too much money and power who are no different to perverts with no money and power.

This world is just perverts from the bottom to the top.
